Spitzer, who specifically cited his former boss' commitment to progressive law enforcement and equal justice, often referred to Morgenthau as "the nation's foremost prosecutor" and stated "I am proud to stand with him to urge Manhattan residents to continue his remarkable tenure as District Attorney."
