Jun 21, 2012 : Here, Aquatics Center - Olympic pool, warm water instructional and exercise pool, and 6,000 sq-ft water play area featuring three giant slides .--.Images of Chelsea Piers in Stamford, CT - a 400,000-square-foot sports and recreation facility slated to open in late June. The space is designed by the same architect who did the New York Chelsea Piers, Jim Rogers. But unlike the water views in New York, the space in Connecticut is land locked without interesting views. So instead of bringing the outside in, Rogers designed a facility that is full of windows on the inside so as you enter you can see into the space with open staircases and mezzanines.
